I am reading Thomas Murphy by Roger Rosenblatt. Earlier this week I finished My Name is Lucy Barton by Elizabeth Strout- a book to be read slowly but a 5-star read for me.

Phyllis, I really liked The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox too.

All 7 members of my book club liked Esme Kennox. A rarity believe me. I think Olive Kitteridge was the only other book we all liked.
I just read Yoga Bitch which I liked way more than I expected to. Insightful. I also read Hell Bent about a journey through Bikram Choudurys world which I again got more interested in then I expected to. I made a startling discovery. I knew Bikram when he was YogiRaj from Bombay! He came to my house in Goa and gave yoga lessons and hung out. We remembered that he what was set on doing was going to the US and teaching. Well he achieved his goal. He always dressed in white Kurta and pajamas. Very polite, gracious and willing to do yoga with us. Never would have guessed it was the same person. Though I have thought of YogiRaj over the years and wondered what became of him.

I am now reading Where I'd You Go Bernadette. Again for my BC.

I am reading "The Couple Next Door" which sucked me in right away.

I'll have to check which other books I read recently. I can't even remember the titles.

I'm listening to "The Marriage Lie," and I'm really enjoying it.

Beth, have you read the latest Joanne Fluke, The Banana Cream Pie Murder? I haven't been thrilled with her last couple so haven't bought this one yet.

No, Pam, I haven't read that one yet. I'll see if it shows up for me as a review copy; otherwise, I'll probably wait to get it at the library at some point. (I'm really in no hurry unless Ross gets killed off, haha.)

Pam- I gave up on that series. I wonder if Hannah will get married.

Phyllis, how weird! Sad that he evidently let power get the better of him once he arrived in the US.

I'm currently reading Kraken by China Mieville, the first novel I've read from him. The writing is quite good and the story reminiscent of Neil Gaiman, especially Neverwhere.
