Man runs his first marathon...then runs 99 miles home

If you're looking for some inspiration, check out this article about what Sam Robson did. He ran the London Marathon, which was his first ever, then he ran home...99 miles away. He has epilepsy and he did it to benefit the UK Epilepsy Society. Very amazing story.

What an extraordinary story - thanks for posting.

I'm sorry I read the comments though - there are certainly lots of mean-spirited and jealous people in the world.

Pumptmuscle--Thank you for posting this!
His achievement is amazing, but as someone who has epilepsy, I appreciate his bravery in trying to educate others about the condition....not an easy task.

And RedPanda, thanks for the warning--I'm not going to read the comments!

I read this - absolutely amazing! He'd never run that far before but he's only a little bit sore. Good for him. I know some Ultra Marathoners who would have issues keeping that pace for that long.

Thanks for the link Bob, very inspiring. He did amazing!

Ugh, read through few comments. Why do people feel they can post anything they like because it's somewhat anonymous?

Wow, amazing!

In some ways that's even more impressive than Eddie Izzard's back-to-back-to-back... marathons that he did for charity the other year (here's the BBC on his feat). The human body is capable of a lot more than we often give it credit for!
