FYI: Collage video

Amy bento just posted on FB that she's ecxited to share that the company she's been working with since 2006....Bayview entertainment....purchased collage video.com and will strive to keep the same business strategy which includes customer service that you have come to know over the years.

Wow thanks! I hope they keep the video reviews with the pinks, blues and mixed. I like those!

Thanks for the scoop, Mrs. Fancy. I wonder if they'll become a streaming/download/subscription service for a variety of instructors like Daily Burn or Kinectflix (which cost $14.99/one DVD a month rental )? inquiring minds.... BTW, wasn't Christi Taylor trying to launch something like that. Did it work? Did anyone here sign up? It would have to cost the same or less than Netflix to get my attention though. Just sayin'.

jessicavi- just a quick fyi about kineticflix It's actually $14.99 a month for one DVD at a time. So the way it would work is they send you one dvd, you check it out or do the workout, then send it back and they send you the next one on your list. So depending on the turn around time with the mail you could get 3 or 4 in a month potentially. It all depends on how long you keep the disc and when you mail it back.

I am doing the 3 dvds at a time for $26.99 right now to check out these various systems I've been curious about forever. Since I prefer owning dvds over streaming, it sure is nice to be able to check out a system before I buy it!

My sister still has a gift certificate from the old Collage. I wonder if these will be honored?

eyefit, are you sure your monthly rate is $26.99? The website says $25.99. I also have the 3 at a time rental but I am grandfathered in at $20.99 (been a long time subscriber). I agree that Kinetic Flix is great for trying out new workouts before buying, especially the expensive systems.

Bayview has been in the fitness DVD business for a long time (there are posts on VF about them going back to 2005) distributing DVDs from Christi Taylor, Amy Bento, Kathy Smith, Gilad and more, and they've tried ventures like podcasts and streaming when they were still very new, so I think this is positive news. Better than getting acquired by someone who isn't in the fitness biz at all, IMO.

Oh whoops, you could be right...lol How cool they let you keep doing the $20.99 after they raised the price!
