Pilates Cross-Trainers: April Check-In

Just starting us off for April!

Thank you so much for the concern! My DH is much better, thankfully. I'm still waiting for the results of my test. So far I still don't have a fever, just the bad sore throat and cough. I slept a lot yesterday. I do feel more achy and fatigued today, with an annoying headache. I'm hanging in there though. I'm thinking of everyone here too, and praying!

Christine - Thanks for checking in! Still praying (and worrying - I know, I shouldn't be worrying) for you.

Thanks for starting us out, Christine. Hang in there. I hope you start feeling better soon!

As I posted in March thread, this morning I did Gina B's Dance that Walk 2 DVD. Total 65 minutes. Streaming was freezing again, even at 7am.

Christine That's good news on your DH. Please continue to keep us posted on your test results.

Today was Cathe Muscle Endurance. First time doing and it was, as I anticipated, tough. First experience with an exercise called the glute raise. Loved it!

Wishes for courageous living to all!

Hi Everyone,

This morning was back to Ellen with Fat Burning Fusion!

Yesterday I did a "spark" with Pahla B's Hot 100 Day # 1 and also took a walk with DD before dinner.

I may attempt another spark and a walk later today.

I hope everyone is doing well.

*Christine* how are you? Brenda???

Thursday's workouts are

Buff Bites;
Pilates Nest - Pilates Strong Arms with Weights - 15 minutes;
Dog Walk - 40 minutes

We had lovely weather yesterday (82!), but then a freeze last night (boo! - my roses are suffering).

Donna - Nice workouts! Ellen's Fat Burning Fusion sounds good for today. So does her Modern Intervals workout.

Linda - I've had that DVD - Muscle Endurance - for years and I don't think I've ever been brave enough to put it in the DVD player.

Cheri - Looks like we "twinned" on Thursday.

Dana - Sorry you are having trouble with your streaming!

Christine - Hope you are feeling better today!

Brenda - Hope you are well!

I haven't worked out yet, but today is my Basil's 18th birthday! He's is doing remarkably well! He's my soul mate but I still think about my Ziggy who I lost almost 2 years ago. Basil loves liver sausage, so that's what he had for breakfast.

I'll check back later. Waves to all!

Today was 30 day buttlift Dance Fit; element total body pilates 30 min. The first 19 min of this chapter is a workout all by itself. The rest goes into leg and back mat work and then she ends with a shirt plank moment and then the same fwd bend stretch she began with so you know the difference in how you feel. I would have preferred the plank earlier in the practice. But other than that I actually preferred this workout to the 20 minute one. Loved them both. I'll have to refresh my memory on how to use the mini ball with other pilates workouts. It's interesting how different the same moves target different areas. Because I am sore a little from the ME ab work I could tell this one was targeting different areas of my obliques. Pretty cool Looking over my Ellens for my cardio later but haven't decided.

Carol I encourage you to try ME but maybe make it your own? The vibe on the DVD is pretty nice. The warmup on ME is really fun and you could just do a chapter or two of one of the upper body exercises? Anyway it's a thought.

Donna I am glad you did Fat burning fusion! Any suggestions for a low key one to help me make up my mind?

Dana send Basil a happy birthday behind the ear scratch from me!! So glad to hear he's chugging along making 18 seem like just another year

Sending have a beautiful day wishes to Christine, Cheri and Brenda!
