Where are the fun cardio routines?

I'm beginning to get bored with cardio blasts and drills.

I like them and they are important but I'm getting bored - no fun factor.

Yesterday I did Cardio Supersets from Cathe's Low Impact Series. I like this set. I like this workout, even with the few modifications I make, but I was bored! I even skipped through a couple of sets to get the workout to be over.

I miss the old cardios that had "routines". I'm not talking dancy or complicated stuff, just routines that have good music, songs and moves to master.

For example, I'm missing older Cathe stuff from the Bodyblast series. I'm thinking of doing the Step routine from step/jump/pump from that series.

Are there instructors filming these cardio routines and any new ones that you would recommend or old favorites?

Christi's Pure Spice and Jazzercise Burlesque are getting good reviews.

I would totally recommend the step only premix of Cathe's cardio and weights. It is only 35 minutes long, but it is fun! For a longer workout you could follow it with Imax 2 only skipping past the blasts for a lower impact workout.

Yep, my thoughts exactly - LOVE those two workouts. Having fun is exactly why I'm obsessed with dance workouts right now.

Loriann,

I love that pre-mix. I love the entire Intensity series.

I think I'll pull out the Cardio Coaches and rebound too.

I may just do a search of cardio workouts on collage video.

I guess the trend is for Hiit and Tabata. I like variety.
I may pull out some of the Classic Firms.

Thanks for the links. Way back when I was a lot younger (although I'm forever 40), I used to do aerobic dancing - I think it was Jacki Sorenson. It was just fun.

YES! Where are they? Nothing is fun or fresh -- too many drills, circuits, tabatas, etc. that repeat & repeat! Hard to find strict cardio (no equipment) that is fun.

I have come to the conclusion , that I really only enjoy walking, kickboxing (slim pickin's, if you ask me) or short HiiT (20 min.) that doesn't repeat too much for my cardio.

I know there has been some criticisms of her workout, but I still really love Dana Pieper's Kickbox Challenge. I always feel energized & accomplished afterwards, very fun (IMO).

Also, Turbo Kick & Turbo Fire were great fun once I got the hang of them! ( i totally burned out on them, so rarely do anymore).

Another fun one, is Cathe 4 Day Split series -- esp. loved the Kickbox one. Great for time efficiency, too.

A third 'thumbs way up' for Christi Taylor's Pure Spice:Cinnamon. I also love Chantal Pierrat's Soul Sweat.

Bebop, I do the step segment from Step, Jump, and Pump almost weekly. It's my favorite step workout of all time. I also do the step segment from Cathe's Cardio and Weights.
