Anyone using just the 4"platform for step?

Yesterday I decided to do Party Rocking Step #1, which I haven't done in a really long time. So I decided to just use the platform and no risers. I felt like I got a good cardio workout, without getting too tired or feeling like I was getting a "leg workout" too. I think I like just using the platform? Anyone else doing this?

Me
Every once in awhile, I'll pull out one of Jane's step workouts or an old Firm & use just the platform.
I feel like I've gotten a good workout with out killing myself. Plus, my knees won't let me do much more. And I have no fanny to lift .

I rarely do step workouts anymore, but when I do, I use the 4" platform.

After killing my knees using 6 or 8 inches for some years, I moved to just doing step workouts on the floor--no platform at all. A few years ago I started using the platform again, and felt so accomplished for moving up. I will stick with just the platform for my step workouts--I feel the same way: good workout, no knee pain, no tripping hazard...

Today I actually put risers under it for Cathe's ICE Bootcamp (since there's no choreography). I stubbed my toe a couple of times Funny how your body gets used to the various heights.

I use the 4 platform too. It works better for me when the routine is new or complicated.

All the time. I'm not quite 5'2", and 4" is just right for most step workouts.

At age 66 and barely 5 feet tall, 4" makes sense! I love step, but my knees are old codgers, so I'd have to give it up if I went any higher! Furthermore, when I do my Firm workouts, I go no higher than 8" for leg press.

When the Firm with the Fanny Lifter came out, I switched ALL my step w/os to just the shorter top tier. Unless there's a lot of long traveling moves, it works just fine... and it's much easier to store & pull out!
