I am so sorry this happened to you! I totally understand because I broke a tooth in half at the beginning of January while eating a peppercorn. I went through the roof it hurt so badly.
The tooth had to be extracted and an implant put in. I did have general anesthetic (I guess for the implant) and took antibiotics and ibuprofen. I worked out the next day but did an upper body workout - nothing too heavy. I also avoided inverted positions. I don't think I did anything with impact until the end of the week.
I'm sure you're doing this, but I found that rinsing with warm salt water helped with the healing.
I know you feel miserable right now, but you will feel better. Hang in there and take care of yourself.
