What are your favorite feel good, comforting workouts?

I am going through a particularly difficult time right now, due to a significant personal loss in my family. Exercise helps me cope with things. I've been doing Jessica Smith's more recent 21 Day Weight Loss set and her 15-Minute Fast Fat Blasts and 5 Fat Burning Miles DVDs. She is cheery and upbeat and the workouts make me feel good. I don't want to burn out on them, however.

Can any of you share your favorite feel-good and/or comforting workouts? Something that makes you feel worked out and soothed at the same time?

I appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

Yours in fitness and health.

Ann

I like Ellen Barrett and barre3 streaming. For barre3 streaming, several come to mind - Rejuvenate, Re-Energize, and Mind Body Balance.

ETA: Nevertoolate, I hope you find some solace and relief soon. Comforting workouts really help me to distress. Recently I've acquired some Gin Miller and Mindy Mylrea to incorporate into my rotation, as my life has been plenty stressful lately.

I'm sorry you are going through a rough patch. My #1 feel-good soother is Kari Anderson Go. It is lighter cardio, ballet influenced, and her chat & warmth hit me right every time. Just me and the step bench.

I'm also going through a really bad time now.

I like to pop in a Leslie, 'cause she's so easy to follow, and listen to a podcast. It's 30 minutes to an hour that I don't obsess over my worries.

I am sorry it is so rough right now.

I like Christi Taylor's Cinnamon Spice - good music, learning the steps takes my mind off anything but the workout. Fun music.

Travis Eliot's CrossTraining Yoga is great for comfort too - not too hard or too much any one thing, just enough to give you your yoga bliss.

Suzanne Bowen's and Leah Sarago's Warrior - I find the setting soothing, and the voice over (Suzanne) equally soothing. Not too tough, but you feel worked and stretched at the end.

If you just want to blast the music and get in some tougher cardio to pound out the stress: Cathe's Step Blast.

Hope you find some peace with things,
Stephanie

It's more on the soothing side, but I really like Petra Kolber's Liquid Grooves.

Sending good thoughts your way.
