Question Need Leslie recs for advanced exerciser friend

Calling all Leslie fans! I was wondering if you could all help me out with some Leslie Sansone recommendations for a friend of mine. She is an advanced exerciser who loves Cathe and adores step and high impact. However, she is looking to add some walking dvds to her collection to spare her joints and add in some lighter workout days. She loves to walk outdoors so she was looking at Leslie Sansone but was totally overwhelmed with all the dvds that are available.

She loves to challenge herself so I think anything too easy would bore her to tears. Good music is nice but not a deal breaker for her.

Can you guys suggest some of the better, more interesting Leslie dvds?
Thanks!

I think the newer ones would be the ones she would be more interested in because more of them have the boosts. But really any can be advanced if you add jogging spurts or a weighted vests , etc.

I agree that newer ones with "boosted walking" would be good.

If she is open to a non-Leslie workout, I would suggest Walk Your Way Slim by Mchelle Dozois. It has three levels of intensity which gives a lot of options to choose from. I this workout, although in some places it's more simple hi/lo than walking.

Anyone else have specific recommendations? It doesn't have to be boosted walking or jogging as long as it's a good fun workout. I was hoping to get some specific ones to her today. I actually have some Leslie's but haven't done most of them yet. I have them sitting there as sort of a just in case scenario where I need to go to less intensity in the future. I'm thinking she doesn't really want anything with toning/band work...she's mostly looking at cardio. I know there have been lots of other Leslie threads but since I don't usually click on those I'm not really sure what the board favorites are in Leslie's collection.

Thanks Laura S for the Michelle Dozois one! I'll have to check that out.

Prevention's Ultimate Walking workout is pretty good, and different than a Leslie but still low-impact.

Which ones do you have? That could help narrow down the recommendations.

I do like her Ultimate 5 Day Walk Plan, and the AHA's are good.

Hi Coleen,

Like your friend, I am a big Cathe fan and love step.
My favorite Leslies from are the ones where one mile goes into the other like in the Walk slim series (Fast Start 1-2 miles, 4 Fast Miles!, Fast & Firm! 4 Really Big Miles). I also like the 5 Mile Fat Burning Walk.
