Shoes to wear with walking workouts

After having announced on several threads that Leslie Sansone workouts were not for me, lo and behold, I have acquired two of them ("5K with a twist" and "5 day slimdown"). I still have to stretch my psoas a whole lot after each workout, but they have turned out to be really good cardio workouts for a person like me with craptastic knees. I use them 3-4 times a week. "walking" at least 3 miles per workout. (I am glad that I am a person who can eat humble pie in public! )

I am currently using cross-trainers with these workouts and wondered what shoes other people were wearing for her workouts. Due to all the lateral movements, I didn't think straight-up walking shoes would be ideal.

TIA.

PS--are there any other "just Leslie" workouts aside from the two I have? I just don't like her when she is with a group but have discovered that I like her a lot when she's solo.

I don't do Leslie's, but when I do Walk It Out on the Wii I walk barefoot on some foam flooring squares.

Walk It Out is all just marching in place without lateral movement though, unless you add your own exercises.

I do Leslie's dvds (and other walking dvds) barefoot. I workout in my bedroom that has carpeting (and padding under the carpet).
