I taught Essentrics this morning & I also did some cardio & yoga.

Sue - Foot pain is tough! I’m dealing with a plantar fasciitis flare in one foot. It is slowly getting better & I have no idea what triggered it. An arch support like this has been helpful, I wear it for barefoot workouts & sometimes in a shoe if there’s room for it. It’s just a compression sleeve:

This one is good too, but I prefer the above one:

Sue, have you tried any of Jill Miller's Yoga Tune Up practices for feet? I use Pinky Balls instead of her Yoga Tune Up balls. My feet were bothering me last night and I did some work...it does help me.

I like the routine on her "On Demand Pain Relief".

Did Season 11 episode today on streaming-Flexibility and my Lee Holden.

Will walk later hope it warms up.

I know PBS will have a CS fund drive this month-maybe they will put something new on streaming then?

It's not like I don't have enough choices on there-I could do a workout and not repeat one for a long time

Today was vintage butt/thighs and ca 6.18 for feet!

Someone posted that they thought the older episodes were “harder” - anyone else think so?

Today was a live class with my student & now co-teacher. So nice to have someone come to my home studio & teach, I love being a student! I also did some crab walks with a resistance loop & a 5 km walk.

Sue - The big difference I find between old & new CS/Essentrics is the pace in the standing sequences. They move much faster in the older episodes & workouts so I guess that makes them harder. I prefer a slower pace for good form. The cuing in the newer offerings is much better too IMO.

Hey, I wanted to pop back in again and say I did Essentrics Barre this morning. I was thinking I was going to do mostly Essentrics and add in some other things, but then I saw that Joyce Vedral thread and I'd never tried her stuff. I got a book and really enjoyed that and I think my body needs it, so I'm going to do a combination of Joyce and Essentrics.

Sue, I'm so sorry to hear about your feet. My husband lives with horrible foot pain and it's a big drag. Pam, I'm off to check what you referenced to see if it might help DH.

November 5-1 hour walk. Brisk, cold, windy...
November 6-no workout, travel day (after work) to Denver to see my son and DIL and DDIL (Dear dog in law).
November 7-2 hours raking, 2 hours total walking
November 8-1 hour hot yoga, 2 hours of raking, 1 hour walking dog
November 9-1 hour hot yoga, 1 hour hike
November 10-Raked leaves and walk to dog park. The rest was travel.

I got home to snow showers and wet and cold and November dreary. Ugg.

I hope all is well.

Bee- you got me looking at that Joyce thread, but I resisted

Yesterday I did CS 10.9 for plantar fasciitis and it really got me thinking as I’m doing all the relieves - I haven’t done those in a workout in a long time. I wonder if I’m just not stretching my feet enough?

Sue, I do remember having trouble with my feet when I first started CS/Essentrics -- I think my feet just weren't used to that kind of work. So, maybe it is somewhat due to extra relieves?

After doing Essentrics Barre the other day, I think my favorite quad move must have strained my quad muscle. I was too sore yesterday to do any squats/lunges. Darn it!
