Starting Phase 1 of CLX Monday

Should I add in cardio a few days or do the program as is? Coming off Insanity I would like to keep my cardio gains. I was thinking 3, 30 min intense sessions per week. I don't know if this will impede what the program is designed to do. Any CLx tips for those in th eknow would be greatly appreciated. I have been off the heavy weight training for a while now so I am looking for a body upgrade!

Marika, you can add an intense cardio session on Tuesday, which is a day off. Since the strength workouts are short, you might be able to add cardio after your workouts. I personally always do a 15-20 minute cardio workout prior to my strength workouts, and depending how I feel, will add more cardio after my strength workouts. You can also sub an Insanity workout for Saturday's workout.

Chalene's cardio workouts is very similar to Insanity, but you might want to give the CLX cardio and strength/cardio workouts a try first. They are very good workouts.

Thanks Debbie.

I was thinking of doing some shorter Spinervals. I don't have any fun cardio & after Insanity everything else just doesn't live up. Spinervals would give me a high impacy break while delivering in the cardio!

I added cardio w/ the 2nd and 3rd strength workouts, and also with the days I didn't do CLX. So, I was doing a lot of cardio, but sometimes just 30-minute session. I like to workout 7 days a week also though. My "short" workout day was Monday where I would do just the 30 minute CLX. It has worked well with this. I am starting the last phase tomorrow. I loved the Push phase!!
