I just watched Ilaria's Stronger for life documentary

I just watched Ilara's Stronger for life documentary on Vimeo

https://vimeo.com/strongerforlife

It is about 01hr and 16mins.

It was a bit of a tearjerker, very moving and sad as it highlighted Ilaria and her fathers cancer, but at the same time it was very inspiring. I knew she was strong, but her mental strength really inspires me for life and fitness, and it is ok to be appear vulnerable sometimes as there is strength in that also.
I enjoyed this as it made me reflect on the preciousness of life in general.

I was wondering what happpened to her since the diagnosis and if she was doing ok, but the video showed a clip in 2020, so I assume she is doing much better.

If you have not seen it or you have time to see it please do.

Thanks for the recommendation! I will have to check it out! I've always found her inspiring, even before her cancer diagnosis.

I just watched it. Makes me want to pull out her workouts. Slight spoiler alert for those who haven't seen it, maybe skip my post.....

it made me so sad at the end hearing all of those people talk about how important fitness is to them, and how inspiring Ilaria has been for them and to think about it all in the context of a locked down world. I feel so fortunate that I prefer to work out alone at home. I feel for those who can't be a part of that fitness family they found with Ilaria.

I don't think you have spoiled it for anyone. People can still watch it and find their own perspective
I am also fortunate that I prefer to work out at home, but that is more due to time constraints, but I remember when I was a regular member of a gym. We were like family, and would motivate each other. Now I have to self motivate which can sometimes be hard, but I am lucky to have workouts from instructor's like Ilaria who motivate me as well.

I forgot to say that it made me want to try one of her workouts too. The reason I say try, is that I have been working out consistently from August after not working out for the last 10 years regularly, for one reason or another. I am not sure if I am Powerstrike ready, as I am only doing 30-40 minute beginner/intermediate workouts. I will try one tommorrow, and see if I can complete it.

It's not the same, but she does have classes available online.

If I read it correctly, the cost for a month is $129! Wow! I know she offers a lot of classes but that is pricey!
