Dread Factor #1 of all times

Hello,
What is the workout that has the maximum dread factor of all times for you?

For me it is Inferno Challenge from Daily Burn.

Imax3. Only did it once, and I haven't touched it since. I was ravenous and humbled afterwards. I'm never hungry after a workout. In fact, working out harder generally decreases my appetite.

Maximum Intensity Cardio. Hi impact hell. Did a number on my hip and knees. Ached for a week.

I have to wonder why anyone would do a workout they totally dread. There are so many options out there that one should not have to settle for 'dread inducing' workouts, especially since there are so many things in every day life to dread (going to work, paying taxes, etc.). Personally, I only do workouts that I enjoy and look forward to.

I really can't say as I probably got rid of it immediately. I don't do dread.

Good point. It depends on what "dread" means to you, I guess. I dread doing the Firm's Standing Legs, for example, because it's tough! Endless leg presses, squats, lunges, etc. Same with Cathe's Leaner ("meaner") Legs. But I do occasionally do them because I like the results (strength gains) and the feeling of overcoming the challenge. But would I do them if I could find something that provided the same results with less dread? Not sure.

Thanks for posting the question, fitfitterfittest!

Oh, my answer would have to be Standing Legs. Synonymous with "dread" to me.

Anything Cathe. Which is why I no longer do Cathe workouts.

To me, there are two types of dread-factor workout:

1. You're terrified of doing the workout but you do it anyway
2. You were SO terrified of doing the workout that you ended up getting rid of it altogether

I am Medically Contraindicated from Doing Dread.

Not that that's a good thing in and of itself, physically.

Because then you have to do a somewhat lengthier rendition of a workout.

However, in my current condition if I had to pick of what little may (sorta) be left (and, boy oh boy oh boy, do these mimic brick-and-mortar live similar classes I've taken, or what?), I would say my mp3 of Dawnelle (Qi Yoga) - never wanna do that one. Less so, some other yoga fusion classes. I still have a pilates virgin that I would have to really downmodify; and in my condition another STOTT active practice, maybe ditto ...

Old-school impact aerobics. I can do it still (a lot less dread than the yogas and pilates' above) but then my knees pay.

I may be left with a few things I have to up-modify.

The dilemma is: I HATE UPMODIFYING!!

I don't really have a workout I dread, because I would have gotten rid of it immediately. However, I do have workouts that contain moves I dread, but I like the workout enough to keep it and modify those moves.

I can't think of any of those workouts right now, but the No. 1 move I dread is burpees!
