James D Silva - Garuda DVDs

Has anyone heard of James D Silva's Garuda DVDs? Apparently he has a studio in London and has produced 6 DVDs of his method - a mix of yoga, pilates and dance. There are several clips on his web site: http://www.thegaruda.net/video-gallery/

I like the DVDs he made with Trudie Styler and these look like the next step. The barre one looks especially wonderful to me. Very, very tempted!

I want them. ooh, ahh. Core strength pilates is one of my favorite pilates workouts.
I wonder if the dvds would play on US players- regions are different.
but look so yummy

Donna-I can play dvds from England on my computer, even though they will not work in my dvd player. I do not have a multiregion dvd player. I can't guarantee they will work in yours, of course

Unfortunately I don't have a barre so that one is out since you have to pull on it but the others look just... soo beautiful! I might have to try one or two...

The 6-pack comes up to 300 $CDN (our poor little dollar is pretty weak these days...) Crazy price but the more I watch the clips the more I want these... argh!

I am officially in love

This is the first time in well over a year that I have gotten excited and entranced with a workout!! I just love James' voice and the way he speaks and moves.

Of course, they have to be expensive DVDs (insert sarcasm here...lol)

Time to start saving because I need to have all of them. There goes my whole exercise budget for 2015.

I wrote them an email asking for the play times and whether there was instruction - here's the reply:

Follow along and approx 1 hour long , except barre with is 90 mins

I'm sad to hear these are only follow along... I'm not sure I can handle that.

Hmm... My understanding of "follow along" versus "instructional" is that the former is more like a class with little/no stop to show you what to do. Given James' attention to form I can't imagine that this is like TA with no cueing at all (??)
