But so true! I really think that you've hit the nail on the head! I think we tend to gain weight as we age simply because we move less. When my kids were young I (like so many Moms) was the taxi driver, the team Mom, the volunteer at school, the sports fan, the householder organizer, cook, etc. I was really busy almost all the time. As kids become more independent and start driving themselves, we simply have less to do. And while it's a relief in some ways to regain some time for yourself, I too found I simply move less (even though I work out daily). My pedometer woke me to that fact last year. I started wearing it again a month or two ago just to make sure I'm moving enough.
