I am so behind! My sadhana is really flagging. My intentions to eat more healthfully and mindfully took a walk early on, that's for sure. Catching up:

Day 31 - Another blah day, just a short meditation to try to motivate myself to workout but I fell asleep.

Day 32 - beach walk and nature meditation.

Day 33 - blissful two hour restorative yoga workshop.

Day 34 - awareness meditation, still in the zone from restorative yoga; otherwise nothing formal.

Beth - I can stumble my way through a vinyasa class if the teacher has a moderate pace and can cue for all levels. Chair is one of my most awkward poses. Camel pose is very awkward for me, not so much the backbend but I can't hold the head tilted back for more than a few seconds because it feel like I'm strangling. Of the standing poses I feel out of whack in Warrior I but that could be my wonky spine. And bridge pose - does it feel awkward, or do I just hate it?

Sherry I have that Sarah Beth morning stretch practice on my to do list. Her newest, neck shoulders and hips, looks really nice

Pam you're closing in on the finish line!

Cate - keep up the great work! And anyone else who is still with us.

Pat, I think you are proving that we all have our own awkward!

Curiously - with the exception of toe sit - all of Pam's awkward poses are some of my favorites!

Day 36-yoga and meditation on my own

Pat-I am with you. My healthy eating plan has gone out the window. Sigh..I hope February goes better for both of us. I may try another Sarah Beth stretch today. I like how she gets down to the practice with no extra chatter.

Pam Yes!! Toe sit is definitely a killer! It hurts just thinking about it. Curious to know too who this is? I'd love to check it out. " YC: Boost Your Immunity on Your Back -"

Pat , thanks for the encouragement! I started on Jan 1 and I've missed a few days but the check in has definitely helped me keep up with practices, no matter how short or late in the day, in a way that I wouldn't otherwise.

Day 26: Yoga for Scoliosis, Centering poses.

Regarding my list of awkward poses, I agree we definitely all have our own! Some of the ones I posted are ones I love but see others struggle with in class. Pigeon & shoelace are two faves of mine. I am a hip opener junkie & them. Malasana hurts my knees on the way down & the way up, I sit on blocks to modify. Saddle hurts my ankles & I need a blanket under them, chronic stiffness from an old fracture & sprain. Hero also hurts my knees, need to sit on a block. I love forward bending shoulder stretches, but I see so many people in class who can barely lift their clasped hand off their back, too much computer time maybe? Pat, I’d definitely add camel to my list, my low back doesn’t care for it. I’m good in bridge, but right now with this back thing I’m tending to, I’m cautious in most backbends. My cobras are very low!

Cate - YC is Yoga Collective, a streaming service. I recently bought a groupon for a real deal. Here’s a link, I think it’s still available:
https://www.groupon.com/deals/n-the-yoga-collective

Back later with my practice....
