You use your arms and core and it does get your heart rate up.

I also enjoyed the premix -- not over the top hard, but a solid workout with good music and a great crew.

I liked that move, that was one of the "Wii like" moves for me

Yes, it was fun! Can't say I've ever "swatted" with an exercise video instructor before

Thanks, Gina!! great review and now I KNOW I will be buying this one So, you don't feel it has too much shoulder work? that is my main concern with all those punches, that the shoulders will become overworked. What is your opinion on that???

Judy, the boxing one definitely didn't have too much shoulder work - it felt fine!
I can't speak yet for the conditioning workout, but I suspect because Kelly alternates upper and lower body work that your shoulders get a nice rest when working the legs. Knowing Kelly, I think it will be fine (but of course won't know for sure till I try it).

I did the W/O 1 - Boxing today also. I used my 1 lb. gloves throughout, and I really enjoyed the workout. I had planned to do the conditioning also, but instead opted to do my Supreme 90 Cardio Challenge originally scheduled on my rotation. I have such OCD about following rotations, lol.

I did the Kelly's Favorites premix. It mixes boxing combos with some conditioning moves and clocks in at just over 35 minutes. I really enjoyed it and the time flew. Some may feel it's really choppy during the transitions between moves. It didn't bother me because that's usually when I paused the workout to get water.

Please can somebody give me an idea how the intensity of TLC (particularly the boxing) compares with Kelly's 30 mins to fitness KB DVD?

Thanks

Emma

Whew - DOMs from TLC workout #1

I still have DOMs in my shoulders & back and still feel it a bit in my legs from doing KCM's TLC boxing #1 workout! I can't believe that a boxing workout could be strenuous enough to make me sore.

Emma, the TLC workouts are about the same intensity as Kelly's kickboxing workouts but the combos are easier to learn. In her first TLC workout it is a little slow to start with more side-steps learning the first combo than I remember in her kickboxing DVD. So her kickboxing workouts seemed to jump in more quickly.

But these are intense and short and really deliver. Did anyone else notice how happy Kelly seems? I think she genuinely adores boxing and it really comes across (without any false enthusiasm or animation). I wish I felt that passionately about my work, LOL. She makes it easy for me to get excited about her workouts when she so obviously enjoys it and put a lot of time & thought into it.

I don't think there's a single KCM workout that I don't like!
