Are Gaiam Yoga Mats good?

If so, which do you recommend? Thanks in advance

TJMaxx usually has a lot of them for less than 20.00. I have never owned one.

I prefer my Maduka pro...I bought it a couple years ago when Amazon had it for one of their daily deals. That is the one I take to classes...it is heavy and supposedly has a lifetime guarantee.

I do have a cheaper Gaiam one that is one of my "back up" mats. It's fine...I usually put it on top of my circular mandala mat.

A co-worker in my yoga class had a Gaiam yoga mat that not only crumbled, but the dye rubbed off on her! Our yoga teacher puts essential oils in our palms or wrists to close out a yoga class. My co-worker noticed after class that she had dye on her hands, presumably the dye had rubbed off with the oil. This was a new yoga mat that she had bought from Gaiam directly.

Now, this wasn't one of the fancier Gaiam mats that look suspiciously like the Manduka mats, but still. Gave me pause when I was looking at the Gaiam travel yoga mat. I would search reviews on amazon.

I’ve had mine for a couple of years. I use it 5-6 times a week and it still looks like new. I’m happy with my mat. I purchased it at Kohl’s.

I have one. It’s fine, but it’s not as sticky as my manduka. Of course, it was a lot less expensive. The thickness is nice and it’s not too heavy. Only issue is the stickiness.

I have two from Marshalls that I usually stack. The older one is much stickier than the newer one, so it always goes on top.
