I just download, copy whatever I want to play onto the memory stick, take it over to the little thing attached to the TV and I'm good to go. No more waiting weeks, shipping hassles, paying import duties, broken and scratched DVDs loose in the box, etc. No more DVDs to clutter up the shelves. No hassles of trying to burn to DVD, and I can change the contents lickety-split whenever.

I'm pretty sure that slowly but surely today's DVDs will be replaced by downloads and streaming (with Blu Rays for people who want really high definition and sound quality). I was so reluctant to try them but now I'm a convert.
Hi Hej

Would you mind sharing what the "little thing" is that you bought. I have a high GB memory stick with all my downloads and would like to try your method instead

Thank you!!

Hi,

Actually it was this:

http://www.netgear.com/home/products...rs/NTV350.aspx

which doesn't seem to be available in the US. But I'm absolutely sure there's something similar available over there. HTH.

Search for "media player" on Amazon to find several devices like the one Hej uses.

Relatively old thread coming back to life!!!

Well, I promised to share my thoughts on these downloads a few weeks ago, just haven't gotten around to using many of them. I did one this morning and previewed a couple of the newer ones and remembered this thread

This morning I did "Bikini Butt", which is supposed to be one of many to come. I'm glad she's offering a lot of glute exercises!
All her downloads start out with classic barre knee lifts alternating opposite arm and leg, rotating opposite elbow to knee, lifting arms....
Then she picks up a pair of weights (optional) and moves on to rear lunges, balancing on one leg and tapping or swinging backwards and forwards (controlled of course!), mini see-saw, and attitude lifts and pulses. Repeat with other leg.
Down to the mat, onto your forearms and knees, straight leg lifts, pulses, bent knee lifts and pulses both with pointed and flexed foot, knee all the way down and all the way up. Repeat on other side. Stretch.

The music and sound in this one are still not good. The music is too loud and there is too much echo which makes it frustrating. The workout would make a good add-on, if it weren't for the bad sound...

I previewed "Foldover" and "sleek sexy shoulders" and I am happy to inform the sound has improved. There is a lot less echo and the music is lower. A lot more pleasant! I'll try these two out some time this week and report back. "Foldover" has a lot of form pointers and looks really good.

I'll be back with more

Foldover
This segment has an accompanying tutorial where she explains proper positioning for exercises in "foldover" position (sorry, I'm rather new to all this vocabulary)
The workout is 13 minutes long, doesn't include a warm-up but includes a short stretch.
She starts out positioning herself at the barre, giving good form pointers, lifts one leg and starts with up and hold and pulses with straight leg, up and hold and pulses with bent knee, knee all the way down to meet standing leg and back up slowly, more pulses and a short break. Then she does standing attitude lifting the L shape up and then up and in or around. She does 16 repetitions for most exercises. Short break, repeat on the other side (including short breaks) and stretch.

I like this download. It definitely gave me a good burn and the instruction was audible and clear. I can recommend it!

The one that just came out today is "Interval Boot Camp" and it looks good. She moves swiftly from one exercise to the other and from what I saw while downloading, it includes foldover, 2nd position plies, pushups and something that looks like thigh dancing but done a bit higher. I will definitely try it out some time this week
