Diana, I understand the strange feeling thing. It is bittersweet. Praying for you and your DH through this transition!

Lynn, that cake sounds delicious.

Cynthia, a storm is moving in here. Glad you got that ocean walk!

Rest day today. Good day for it as my back muscles are sore from that workout yesterday.

The rest of my workout: 30 pushups and the last stability ball section of Denise's Fat Blasting Yoga.

I might as well have applied that banana bread directly to my mdisection. Working on getting a waistline back instead of this spare tire.

Today I saw that Bodyfit by Amy was doing a live workout, so I did that. It was a full body "bootcamp" style with weights if you had them. I will also walk later as I'm coloring my hair right now. I'm glad I can do that myself and don't have to wait for a salon! I do need a cut, though.

Have a great day!

Cheryl, it's probably hard for a vidiot to imagine not having any weights! But non-vidiots are invited to use soup cans. I remember ancient fitness articles using soup-cans, before women used dumbbells.

It's been over 8 weeks since my last haircut. It was such a good haircut that it still looks okay, in fact I've gotten compliments (friends on Zoom). I hope the young lady who has cut my hair will be there when haircuts can happen again.

DD's Saturdays start an hour earlier than weekdays; but I haven't gotten anything done yet. Back later.

Later: did about 10 min of kickboxing w/ Denise, but then it was nonstop plyometrics & that DVD got Joni-O'd. Then a good session of LB Pilates w/ resistance loop, and 34 pushups, plus 2 to make for yesterday (did 30) which I realized today was supposed to've been 32.

barre 3 60 minutes. My hair is hair-gone-wild! Hopefully in a bit it will be long enough to put in a pony tail and that will tame it, but for now it is totally out of control, super thick and curly and a wild cloud that will not go down. Don't know when I will be able to get it cut. My hairdresser is recently recovered from cancer, and older, so we are both vulnerable and without testing who knows if we could infect each other.

Cheryl, did you enjoy doing a live workout? I did a barre3 live event on Zoom and felt that the streaming was more fun.

Cynthia, you are lucky that your haircut is holding up.

Diana, I agree with Cheryl that this must be a bittersweet time for you to leave your business, which you must have been doing for a long time. A transition like this is both an exciting new moment and a loss, so hugs to you ((((()))) as you go through this.

Oh and my cake came out well. I made a buttercream frosting instead of the melted one they did back then. Figured you need to go with that. DS ate a fair amount so I think he liked it. It was a pretty big sheet cake so I put on gloves and cut off a big piece to bring over to my friend and leave at a reasonable distance at her door.

Happy mother's day everyone.

DD & I had a nice brunch, including mimosas. Pretty sure this is a rest day.
