June 2020 Add 'em up Goals Challenge ~All welcome!

Come join us in setting and achieving goals to promote your overall wellness! We are a friendly and welcoming group who love to chat when we have time, but please also feel free to join us if you want to just focus on your goals. No pressure here to address everyone; share as little or as much as you want!

We have been doing this challenge for many years now. While it is not strictly about fitness goals, we agree that our daily life goals work together with our fitness goals to make us happier and more balanced, so we combine them in this challenge. Feel free to join us! You can tailor it to your schedule if you need to take a week off for vacation or only count so many days. Whatever works for you!

Premise: Choose your goals for the month. Every time you complete a goal you get a point. Multiply your number of daily goals by the number of days in the month. This is your max total points. If you choose, reward yourself for reaching a certain percentage of your max possible (I use 90% for my personal goal), multiply by your max to get your total goal points. I also give myself extra credit options.

**Take this challenge however you wish. I used to total my points all the time but have fallen away from that and now just track my goals. There really are no rules, your challenge is your own, we're just here for support and to help each other with accountability. We would love to have you join us!

Lovingkindness meditation

May you be happy, healthy and whole.
May you have love and warmth in your life.
May you be safe and protected.
May you be alive and free and joyful.
May you have inner peace and ease.
May you be well.

Praying this for us all this month.

Planned on walking 4 mi this morning but the wind was just awful so we just did 2 mi. I was supposed to run after that but decided to hold off till tonight instead of forcing through the wind. I started doing PT and the very first thing (bridge with alternating diagonal overhead reach) set off the dizziness right away. It subsided mostly so I finished, skipping the moves that would make me dizzy or need balance. Then I did day 18 of Kassandra's morning yoga and was mostly fine. Even inversions were okay. It seems to be worst when I'm lying down and moving my head just right (or wrong, I guess). Then I did one of my untried ones, Barlates Interval Barre Fusion, the iso mat segment plus stretch. This was my first try at Barlates and I decided I was pretty sure she doesn't want me to be able to walk again. Holy crap!! The dizziness left me feeling wiped out so hopefully I can do everything else tonight. I needed to be done anyway so I could shower and eat before meeting a friend. When I get home from that I plan to make white sheet cake for hubby's birthday.

Thank you for the wonderful prayer Vannie!

Sounds like you are having a pretty busy 1st day of June! I think we sent you our wind. Rain is next. Overall, summer has pretty much arrived now...amazing that we finally have T shirt weather.

We had a pretty good wind/rain storm last night. I hope to walk a little later today after things dry up a little more. I'm still working on getting the aggravation out from my trip to the dentist and the poor ergonomics from the dental assistant. My bad pattern re emerged and my left tfl got super tight again and my left glute shut down. I know what needs to happen but I can't wave a magic wand so just need to keep working my program and it should come back again. Too much computer time probably isn't helping.

I'm going to try to focus especially on keeping up with my water goals now that the summer heat has turned on.
