Question Low Impact DVD set options???

Besides Jessica Smith, Gilad or Leslie Sansone are there any other good workout dvd options out there? I'm interested in a rotational set not a single dvd. Long story short, I usually do Cathe, had an injury, surgery and have doc's clearance to begin to workout again. I still have some restrictions...no impact, no sit ups, no burpees and not alot of overhead weights. I am learning to modify alot but I don't want to have to modify an entire workout. i'm just looking for some more variety. At totalfitness most of the dvds are Linda and I don't seem to click with her. Thanks!

I enjoy Stephanie Huckabee's PowerFit sets. Those might fit the bill for you at this moment, although I will say I didn't find them to be very tough. They're only 20 min long but you could do multiple workouts in a row. If I remember right she often lays a band on the floor as a line to simulate a step but I actually used a step for a better for me workout.

I second both these recommendations and if you don’t want to deal with Beach Body (which I never will ever again) you can get Project You on Amazon.

Looking at your list, Mirabai Holland comes to mind. And Margaret Richards has some workouts that include cardio. Jane Fonda has some newer (newer than her 80s stuff) workouts especially for people with limitations.

Total Fitness dvds sells Beachbody dvds. I am not sure if she still has them, but the YOUV2 set from Beachbody is low impact.

Have you tried any barre workouts? The Barre3 set is one that comes to mind. I’m not a fan of sit ups either and I’ve always like their supported ab work using the B3 core ball.

Slim in 6 is low impact for sure, and effective.

Ellen Barrett fits the bill too. she released her 7 Day Workout Challenge set on DVD but is currently OOP. you can occasionally find it on ebay.

Supreme 90 is also another good set that is low impact.

I recommend all of these. Slim in 6 does have you doing some running in place and doing jumping jacks, but you can easily replace those moves with knee ups and marching in place. That's what I've been doing this week, as I've had some knee pain flare up.

Is Gilad's 15 Targeted Express workouts low impact? From what I've done of his workouts in the past, he tends to do kickboxing type moves, which are low impact. I think someone mentioned that the MetRx set was low impact as well. It's a shame I have both sets and have yet to try them . MetRx is on tap for the following week though, unless I change my mind and do Body Revolution

I’ve had MetRx 180 for ages and have never tried it. There are 12 DVDs. It has been opened, believe I bought it used or got it in a trade, can’t remember. It’s not something I’d do at this point so I’m happy to SASE it. I’m in Canada so I’d expect shipping to the US would be in the $6-8 USD range if anyone wants it.

If anyone is interested, send me a PM.
