Off-Topic Working from home part time

I don't have any recommendations. I had two office jobs where after I was working there for around 5 years, they started to let me work from home either 1 or 2 days per week. Unfortunately, for both of those, I was laid off a couple of months later due to work slow downs. I just would like for you to watch out for scams.

I work from home. Your options will vary greatly depending on educational background, skills, whether you prefer phone or non-phone jobs, etc. I suggest WAHM or workplacelikehome forums for exploring some options in addition to FlexJobs.

Starwood is a hotel company that has a call center where customers call in to make hotel reservations. They offer employees the option of working completely from home.

I now do my job, which has always been part time (mostly), from home. But, it is a job I've had for years and I just lucked into a company that does work that isn't common enough to have some of the specialties in locations where there are offices.

It is hard to concentrate at home. My husband has his own business and works from home when he isn't traveling. And I have 3 dogs, those are distractions enough. Most people won't hire or allow work from home if you have children at home.

So, you may want to look for a job in the field you are interested and look for flexible companies. Don't count out jobs traditionally done in an office- of course that won't work for service industries.
