Check-in: day 4, abs, of the dumbbell challenge. I didn't feel the need to rest, so I skipped day 3, a rest day.

The Blue Theology group of the week was in church today. They are from Indiana. There are a lot of them, but they look little, probably middle-schoolers. No big hungry-looking teenagers. There are 25 of them including the adults. I plan to make 3 mega-batches. That's roughly 120 pancakes. Their pancake day is Tuesday.

Hi Everyone!

Cynthia I'm glad you are able to make the pancakes for the group.

Check-In: walk (I forgot to set my timer so I don't know how long)

Have a Blessed evening!

Happy Independence Day! We haven't found a celebration here in Porto, but I may put on the fireworks from the U.S. for DD later. There are groups in Lisbon and south, in the Algarve, that get together to celebrate. Perhaps one will start here too.

Today I did Inner and Outer Thigh Toning, adding ankle weights. I had to do something shorter because I had an orthodontist appointment. Turns out I can't get Invisaligns because my case is too bad. I will need brackets for two years, sigh. I can get ceramic braces, which are less visible. So that's what I will do, next month. Hopefully they won't affect my singing negatively.

Diana, that's a lot of steps! Would a foot massage be nice now and then?

Cynthia, you must be the Patron Saint of Pancakes. You bless countless people!

Lynn, is it getting very hot there?

My niece, the one who got complications from the vaccine a couple of weeks ago, has just gotten covid for the first time, with all the classic symptoms, I guess. Please keep her in your prayers!

Happy 4th. Did my zoom yoga class. DH and I plan to go to the pool later, but that will be just for cooling off.

Cynthia, that's a lot of pancakes. You are clearly the Patron saint of pancakes. Any particular flavor this time?

Cheryl, bummer about the braces. I had them as a kid and now my teeth have shifted and I should get invasligns, but they a so expensive. What a rough time your niece is having! So sorry to hear about her and will keep her in thought. And yes, it is hot here -- heading for the 100s this week.

Diana, looks like you aren't at your high for steps, but definitely not slacking off!

Lynn, the pool sounds so good. My pool is closed today.

My title is Potentate of Pancakes. No food issues with this group, everyone is getting my classic buttermilk pancakes.

Cheryl, your poor niece! Holding her in prayer.

Diana, any plans for the 4th? I remember last year you saw some fireworks.

Check-in: Dumbbell back and shoulders, end of round 1. Tomorrow will be a rest day haha.
Pancakes in the morning. Mammogram and bone density scan in the afternoon.

Hi Everyone!

For the 4th we had dinner at a restaurant that had a wonderful view of the water. The food was good, too. Tonight there were some fireworks on my street that I believe could be professional. I think they tried to blow the place up!

I hope everyone had a nice 4th of July.

Check-In: 40 minute walk

Have a Blessed evening!

Today I did a 30-minute kickboxing from Heather and got a lot of steps.

Tomorrow is a big day - our shipment is supposed to dock at last, and it is the one-year anniversary of our life in Portugal. We're having a party at our house tomorrow evening to celebrate. I have to make some food things for it, but we ordered a big meat and cheese board from a local wine shop that DH and I enjoy.

Diana, the restaurant looked beautiful in the FB photos! Was the food good?

Cynthia, hope the med tests go well and the pancakes are delicious as always. And we will try to remember your appropriate title!

Lynn, I hope you see cooler temps soon. Nice to have a pool to go to!
