videos with great music

It is important for my workout to have really super music. One of the problems I have with the Firm tapes is the music. I like something with a real beat -- and very upbeat. Can you recommend videos that combine a really great workout with super music.

My favorites

- Donnamite
- KS Latin Rhythm
- Body Pump
- Cher (forgot the name of her video)
- The Karen Voight/Elle McPherson video

I agree with you : good music is so motivating, I don't know why there aren't more videos like that. I hate the CIA type of canned music (Cathe and Gilad videos also have this noise), it drives me crazy !

One of my faves is Reebok Step: The Video with Gin Miller. Live drumming. Much better than the drumming in Gin Miller's Circuit Challenge. That music was African Muzak. Very tinkly. I don't like tinkly.

I also LOVE the music (by Dead Can't Dance) in Ali MacGraw's Yoga Mind and Body. But it's slow, eery. The Video music is strong and driving.

I have SO many tapes, but not many with really good music.

Yeh, not too many workout videos have great music ... I wonder why ...
Anyway, Christi Taylor's Still Jumpin (hi-lo) has great music - you can read reviews about this tape - somebody mentioned the names of some of the songs ... Reviews are here and there is one review in the new reviews section.

Choreography is more complex than Firm's and Cathe's but once you get it down (and Christi cues really well), you will have lots of fun.

Christi Taylor's videos have great music, especially the Heavenlies and the Just For Fun series.

Kari's Danceworks and Body Tech (I like all of Kari's music choices, but these 2 are the best, IMO).

Body Pump.

Andre's Advanced Step.

Your Personal Best with Karen Voight.

CIA's: 2K05/Cardio Parties, 2101/Extreme Intervals/Pump Party, 2014/Greatest Step and 2102/Powerbar Training.

I love the music in Cathe's IMAX too.

This music really keeps me going. Just when I am about to give out another great tune comes on and I find immediate motivation. I love that!
