This DVD is from Udaya (same team that produced "Deepen your practice", "Utlimate Yogi", and "Yoga Warrior 365").

I think this is a much better choice for a balance practice.
Steve4404, did you try Jane's 12-minute "Yoga Balances: Level 3?" If you didn't find that challenging then I don't think you need "gentle" yoga!

I did 3 of Jane's practices today. One was the Lying Practice from Gentle Yoga which I hadn't done for quite a while. Wow - it was so nice! Yumberful.

I like that one, too!

Last night, I finally got around to doing the seated practice from Jane's Yoga For Seniors. I wanted something light before bed and it fit the bill.

A cat wanders over to Jane at one point and then meanders off. I cracked up.

What is it with cats and yoga?

Alta,

How do you like the Yoga for Seniors dvd? Is it worth getting? I have Gentle Yoga and the Balance one and like them a lot.

Thanks.

It is nice, but not a "must have."

Am I dreaming?

  • A yoga video series for my age and stage of life?
  • The instructor is considerate enough to use mirror-cueing?
  • The programs are mostly filmed outdoors?
  • The series has received rave reviews?
  • Vintage VFer Alta started the discussion?
Okay, I'm dreaming.

Hi, Gilda! Good to *see* you!

Nope, you are not dreaming. Jane Adams' videos are actually what they say they are. The mirror-cueing is a dream come true (for me anyway).

Let us know if you try out her DVDs.

I finally got around to trying Jane's balance section, "Improving Balance," from her Gentle Yoga DVD. It has some of the same move from her Balance DVD, but I think it is a bit harder. She has you close your eyes for one of the moves!
