40 Week Weigh & Measure

Ok.. so hands down, this 4 week stretch has by far been the most I've gone WITHOUT working out. That being said I still had positive results.

Inches lost: 0.5 inches = 35 inches total.
Pounds lost: 2.4 lbs = 32.4 lbs total.

This health and fitness journey continues to prove to me that intake is key and exercise is the bonus. That's how I see it now.

Here's what I want to say to all of you ... just like I've said about exercise ... find something you'll stick with. Find what fits your lifestyle, health history, budget, and what will motivate you to keep at it. What works for me may not be at all appealing to others and that's ok. Just like workout programs, there's something for everyone. Give yourself permission to tweak and change as you change.

I will be 53 on Dec 9th. I haven't felt this good in years. I couldn't tell you the last time I looked forward to a birthday. Not because of how I look, but because of how I feel. The energy and motivation to do more with my day. The quality of life I'm getting back.

Thank you all for letting me share and process with you. You all are a blessing and I hope you know that.

Congrats Tina! Sounds like your barre rotation is a good fit! The positive mental benefits of exercise are good on you!!

For my 36 week weigh in I actually gained 1 pound. But I am not discouraged as I've added more weight training with Jari Love and Slim Series this past month. I lost another 1/4 inch in my chest (my boobs are shrinking!), 1/2 inch in my lower abs and 1/4 inch on my thighs. I had to take a sick week when I caught a bad cold, and I did give in to some Halloween treats, so I'm sure that affected my month's results as well.

After reading all your posts on barre and essentrics it makes me think I should add more of these workouts into my rotation, too! Thanks for sharing!

Wendy ~ Sounds like you're working hard as well. Good job. Just to clarify, I'm using barre and Callanetics, not essentrics.
