I can't tell you how many times I've thought, "I'm turning into my Mother!" as I've worked my way through this decision.
You're welcome!

Ugh, me too! It's taken me 40 years to learn that mom is right, and that I'd rather invest my money in things I'm sure about, rather than have buyer's remorse later! I'm also an investigative nerd as far as product quality over quantity, so I'm anxiously awaiting everyone's verdict on this rebounder, ha ha!

If you didn't already guess I'm an investigative nerd as well.

I love your avatar! I love your hair!

Regarding the benefits of rebounding for lymph and detox-

Regarding the benefits of rebounding for lymph and detox- has anyone (Lainie?) looked into it deeply? I've questioned it because I have a friend who is LMT and specializes in lymphatic drainage, in fact that is all she does in private practice and at clinics in my area, and she has poo poohed rebounding for that purpose.

I'm also a board certified LMT and a Certified Medical Exercise Specialist. I think that targeted lymphatic drainage massage will most likely always beat out rebounding by a margin. That said, I know someone who rebounds regularly and feels it's had a positive affect on her lymphedema. I believe her!

Muscular contraction, especially in the calves, moves lymph. Since rebounding seems, from the studies, to contract many if not all muscles it stands to reason it would pump more lymph. I'm not a fan of Wikipedia but it's the only site I could find that actually provided some links to studies.

At question is whether the studies were performed with rebounder or regular trampolines. At least one seemed to be a rebounder study, not sure about the often touted NASA study.

Bellicon has some great videos on their site. Bellicon explained in 2 minutes and the science behind....are two of my favorites.

Lol!

Thanks for the compliment! I love having short hair - it's fun, and it takes me only a couple of minutes to get out the door!!

Daisyduke, what type of workouts are you doing on this rebounder- I'm just wondering if I should get the smaller size for a faster bounce or if the 48" would be ok.
I'm still contemplating what would be best for my TA workouts 😊

I do my own thing while I watch tv. I also do some of cheri's YouTube videos ... she has almost 100 on her YouTube channel. I would recommend getting the strongest cords so you can keep a fast bounce.

I will provide a detailed review once it arrives. I'm so excited to get it.

I really actually love the urban rebounder but the squeaking drove me nuts and I wanted a bigger jumping surface. This is 48 inches. It is plenty big and is silent. It is a nice soft smooth bounce. A comparable size bellicon is almost $1,000. I think this is a steal .

Nancy... I don't think you'll hit your head.

I broke my foot while cheerleading in college and the urban rebounder is very hard on it, and I was in constant pain from it. The urban rebounder is very jarring compared to this. The warranty is just as good as the bellicon too. I look at it as I can't afford a lexus, but I still want to drive so a Toyota is just as good. If you can spend $1,000 on a bellicon I'm sure you won't be disappointed with it. This is probably not as high quality but it feels safe and solid. It feels awesome on my feet and the bounce is great.

I wouldn't go with anything less than ultras because of what Barb mentioned about it having less bungee cords than the Bellicon. You don't want coning at all

Since she's the only one who's experienced the probounce, I just put all of Daisy's input together in hopes of creating a review of sorts.

The one question that you never answered Daisy was whether the mat cones or sags in the middle. Do you think you could run on it or follow a fast paced DVD?

Sorry to keep calling you back but you're the only one with real answers and quite honestly your answers don't read as enthusiastically as your earlier ones did, though that could be that you're sick of questions. If you could give this rebounder a grade what would it be? Why would you choose that grade?

ETA: Maybe you could link to the fastest youtube video you do to give people an idea of what's possible.

A bungee can affect each person differently, depending on weight, cord tension, bounce style, shoes or no shoes, cost, etc.

To be the only one reviewing a new product is a difficult responsibility.
