It's a "get stuff done around the house" day. We're doing laundry, changing the sheets on the bed, cooking stuff for nachos (we enjoyed them at Mom and Dad's so much, we wanted more), and clearing some stuff out of my office. I think I'll try to do the chiropractor tomorrow on the way home from one of DH's appointments. We will drive right by it on the way home.

We're going to go for a walk in a bit. We are supposed to have an extended time with no rain in the next week. Woo hoo!

Paula - Yup. I love crockpots. That's why I have three of them, all different sizes. Good job stocking the freezer.

Anita - It sounds like you will have a busy time with spring cleaning. I'm just trying to catch up on everyday cleaning.

Good evening. Workout this morning was Pahla B Body Shaping Day 16 - recovery stretch followed by Tamilee floor stretch and a neighborhood walk with DH.

Just a quiet day around the house - did some cleaning, ran some errands etc. - putzing.

Anita, starting "spring" cleaning is ambitious. I won't actually do a seasonal cleaning per se, I just try to keep up. I keep a list of big jobs and just try to get those things done on some sort of regular basis. Thanks for the link for the garlic salt.

Laura, Hope you got to the chiropractors and it helped. Hope you enjoyed the nachos. I love my crockpot but I only have one and it's the old style - no programing available. But it gets used every week.

Today is going to be a busy day. I have a training session at 11:00 and will take DH to his PT this afternoon. I didn't make it to the chiropractor yesterday, we'll stop there around his PT. Around those appointments, I'll do two loads of laundry and try to finish things up in my office before the furniture assembler comes tomorrow.

Paula - Only one of my crockpots has any programming. I can set it for a specific time to cook and after that it goes to warming mode. That was handy when we lived in DC and I was gone all day. It was nice to be able to not worry about when we got home and have it go to warming mode automatically instead of overcooking the food. But since we are always in the house these days, I don't use it.

Good morning!

Planning on putzing and walking Gus. I did get the bedding washed yesterday and the humidifier put away! Not so much on the floor cleaning, but it'll do for now. I'm loving our sunny weather into the 40s during the day, but still a bit below freezing at night - it helps slow the meltwater drainage so we don't have any flooding. As more of my back yard gets exposed, I'll have to do the winter poop pickup from my yard - yuck!

Laura, you're a specialist in crock pots with three of them! I just have a very old big one that has a low and high setting and no timers or programming. Works for me! I do beef roasts and chilis in there. Are chiropractors a walk-in service?

Paula, I don't use my crock pot as often as you - but at least quarterly around the year. Lots more than what I used stuff I donated away that hasn't been touched in ten plus years! Sounds like we're both putzers .

Waves to all (from >6 feet apart)!

Good evening. Workout this morning was Yoga With Tim Warm Up followed by Pahla B Body Shaping Day 17 Cardio.

It rained on and off all day today, I did some dusting and a load of laundry but mostly it was a lazy day. We received our appointments for a Pfizer second shot for tomorrow.

Laura, sorry you weren't able to get to the chiro yesterday. Hope you got by there today. Yeah a crockpot with turned off before the food was overcooked would have been nice when I was working. I didn't have one, so my food was overcooked many times.

Anita, your crock pot sounds like mine. I often use mine as a steamer for foods I want to warm up but don't want any evaporation. I put a little water in the bottom, I have a silicone steamer thingy I put in the bottom, I put my soup or sauce or whatever in a bowl - seal the lid with tin foil, put the lid on and turn on the crockpot. When I get home the soup or whatever is hot and ready to serve.

Another sunny beautiful day! Yay! We're going to get out for a walk today. I haven't been commenting on it, but we're back to walking most days and it feels good.

Today is furniture assembly day! The guy is coming this afternoon. I have some things to get done in my office this morning to prepare for that. And I have a Zoom call with a friend this morning.

Yesterday, we stopped by the chiropractor. It's a place where you pay a monthly fee and drop in up to four times a month. Their monthly fee is less than one session at DH's more specialized chiropractor with better equipment. The place I go has the basic tables, but it works for me. And it definitely helped yesterday. I'll get back to going more regularly now that I've healed from the surgery.

Good morning!

Planning on playing cards with friends - Carcassonne this morning, walking with friends and Gus, watering orchids and putzing around.

Two days ago I had a bit of a wakeup call regarding where my body is now - I fell over a snowbank trying to hold Gus back from a German Shepherd walking past at the park - it's a nasty reaction from Gus on those dogs. I had a hard time getting up out of the snow with nothing to hold on to - I finally used Gus to stand up by putting my hands on his back in front of me. I can get up and down from chair height squats with my body erect, but getting off the mushy snowy ground flat out below that just didn't work with my artificial knee. I think I was laying on the ground a bit downhill over the snow pile also. I'm glad Gus was able to help me. This took several minutes to finally get up. This sucks.

I did look for winter poop yesterday, but lots is still under snow and frozen to the ground - I did find a dead squirrel that Gus was playing with - hope he hadn't eaten any of it. Hard to tell, but I doubt he killed it.

Paula, yay on getting your second shot! I'm hoping the Johnson and Johnson ones with their single shot get here soon - sounds like they should be here in a month or two. Cool use of your crockpot! I haven't tried that in mine.

Laura, yay on joining the walking club! Frankly it's the only exercise I can do right now with a bad shoulder. Hope you get your rooms completed! I've never been to a chiropractor, but that sounds interesting that you can drop in for their services.

Waves to all (from >6 feet apart)!

Good evening. Workout this morning was Pahla B body Shaping Day 18 Moderate Weights followed by a Yoga With Kassandra Morning Stretch.

DH and I got our second COVID 19 shot today. We aren't experiencing too much in the way of symptoms but we've both felt tired all afternoon. I predict we'll be in bed early. DH says he has pain at the injection site. I did last time, but this time my arm is not sore (yet). We got the sheets washed before we left to get our shots. Didn't get anything done after we got home.

Laura, A monthly service fee with drop in priviledges sounds like a good plan for a chiropractor. I've only been to one a few times and can't say I thought it helped much. Hope the furniture assembly went well, the zoom call too.

Anita, I am always envious of your online card group. Yuck on the poop pick up, but I suppose it has to be done and you must have to do it each year. Glad you were able to get up with Gus' help - falls are scary.

Good morning!

Planning on working at the WRC with bats this morning. Then I may stop by the VFW and pick up a fish fry lunch . Otherwise planning on walking Gus and enjoying this wonderful melty weather - we might hit 60 this weekend!

Paula, glad you got your second shot! I hear soreness and tiredness is pretty common after that second shot. Not a bad excuse to take a nap .

It's another sunny day. I'm still enjoying the sensation of multiple sunny days in a row!

Yesterday, the Zoom call went well and then I picked up a Walmart order. The guy came right on time and got to work on the desk. It took him two hours and then the two bookcases took just over an hour. Since he seemed really skilled and efficient, DH and I decided that putting together those three pieces would have killed us.

Today feels like Saturday to me, so it may a lazier day than usual. I need to start moving things back into my office and I want to do a good job of it. it may take me some time because I want to organize the supplies logically and so that I know where everything is. And we get our hair cut. Yay! My hair has gotten so thick that I haven't been able to do much with it for the past week.

Anita - That fall sounds scary. I'm glad Gus was able to help you get up. A fish fry sounds really good!

Paula - Congrats on getting the second shot. I hope you feel less tired today. I'm looking forward to getting ours later this month or, more likely, in April.
