I agree on the RAW workout. I started and could not finish. The level of strength and flexibility required is advanced, while the Upper and Lower Body splits can be done by any level with...

The Far Pavilions

I read that book decades ago, but I remember loving it.

I use a high step for the squat thrust and burpees. It makes a big difference.

Fun Factor

Not as intense as her other kickbox DVDs, but has a fun factor the others do not have. Perfect for those who need to modify impact.

Easy to modify

I think Cathe's tapes can easily be modified. By using lighter weights or fewer step risers, Cathe's strength tapes can easily be modified. Also many of her cardio tapes introduce combos with low...

I got great results, although it took me more than 90 days because I usually don't have the time to workout six days a week. I got leaner, but stronger. Also the rotation mixes things up so it's...

Before my hip replacement, I continued low impact. However, I had to make sure it was not repetitive. I was able to do step with only one riser as long as the pace was not fast and low impact like...

I just finished the 90 day XTrain undulating rotation over four months. My muscles have never been as sculpted and lean. Love the system. Best results of any Cathe rotation. (Never did STS.)

Just finished week seven of the 90 day undulating rotation. I can't work out everyday so it has taken me more than two months. But the results are amazing - leaner tighter muscles. And I've never...

Modifying Cathe

I modify all of them or use a lower step height. The only one I found difficult to modify is the hi/lo part of Maximum Intensity Cardio. Most of the time, Cathe introduces choreography using low...

I vote for Kathy Smith

Kathy Smith was one of the early forces in building the home DVD business. Her DVDs introduced at home exercisers to many types of fitness. Most, if not all of her fitness routines, were created by...

Cathe

I do not think Cathe should be considered a less safe instructor. I think she gives very detailed information on form and her cardio routines flow smoothly. However, most of her DVDs are for very...

Easy to modify

I found it easy to modify because most of the impact comes from jumping jacks for which I substitute rising on my toes. I loved the low impact HIIT portion. The moves are all from other DVDs. I...

Lots of variety; intense but lots of fun

I did the standard mix, modifying to avoid impact, and got a great workout. Cathe spends no more than a few minutes on any step combination, so there is a lot of variety. I thoroughly enjoyed the...

Links to discussion of modifiers

I don't know whether the discussions are still available. They occurred when Cathe first announced the DVD series, so it was more than a year ago.

Intensity lost with modification

You can modify with low impact, but a lot of intensity is lost. I found I got a normal cardio workout as opposed to one with special benefits. When I modify Cathe's other tapes, I find I still get...

Comment re service

I had a question about Intensity. I wanted to know whether you get the full workout with the low impact add ons and if it would be easy to modify the routine. I mentioned that I can modify most of...

I don't remember the exact timing, but I know when I pre-ordered I was expecting a modifier based on what Cathe wrote about her plans for the new cardio series. She may have mentioned a modifier in...

Cathe and modifiers

For the latest cardio series, Cathe was planning to use a modifier. However, there was an uproar on her website about it. Frankly, I think it's short-sighted because eventually everyone using her...

Toe Raises

[QUOTE=Jennifer P.;1471052]Are "toe raises" in #3 where you have your legs apart like you're going to do a jack, then just raise up on your toes instead? There's also a version where you actually do...
