The Met-Rx 180 Program is now down to just $15 total including shipping. Here's the link below. Use code VEXTBDY and input your full info so the $1.95 shipping will come off.

Considering you get 12 Discs featuring 16 workouts, Resistance Band, Fitness Ball with Pump, Retractable Tape Measure, Skin Caliper Kit, Nutrition Guide and Fitness Guide and Workout Journal, it's such a ridiculously low price. Problem is, I'm a horrible workout virgin. I got Tapout almost a year ago and I've done one workout. I got RKS like 2 years ago and I've done 3 or 4 workouts like 1 time each. Hmm, the good news is that dvds never expire so there's always time in the future. haha

Should I get it? I've checked past threads and considering the price reduction, there's been very little info on them (although I do appreciate the time breakdowns). Any thoughts?

It shows up as $25 for me. How did you see it as $15?

ETA - In answer to your question, I suppose if you like even a few of the workouts enough to use regularly it would be worthwhile.

Click Add to cart. They're having a sale so it automatically goes to $20. Click Checkout, then Checkout as Guest. Enter the code in the 'Coupon/Promotional Code?' area and it drops to $16.95. Enter all your info and when you put in your zip, it knocks off the $1.95 shipping to make it $15 total.

There is zero dread, intentionally designed that way.

From pages 24-25 of the Fitness Guide:

"The exercises in the program are not difficult to perform. They are basic, fundamental exercises that have been done in gyms across the world for decades...This holds true for the advanced athlete who can't sustain an extreme workout for a long period of time and needs a solid exercise plan that will still supply gains, but not cause as much wear and tear on his or her body...What we're asking you to do is to master these easy-to-learn exercises in the first phase of the program, so that you can step up your game and progress to a more difficult level of resistance training."

It was already a bargain when I bought it. I am in week 2 and enjoying it a lot. I am adding in my own cardio, since I get bored easily. I can't do the same cardio workout more than once a week and even that will get old quick for me.

If in doubt, buy it. I think it is soo worth it :)

Oh okay, thanks. Great price!!

horsemom2 10-10-13 06:41 PM

I think it was worth it for me for just the two Cardio Tactics 1 and 2 routines, ~30 minute each on one dvd. Each has its own warmup, two ~15 minute sets and cooldown. The cardio sets are similar but the second set has alittle tweaking. Both routines are nice athletic cardio with a do-able number of reps. The first routine doesn't have planks till the last two minutes of each of the two sets. the second routine sneaks planks in sooner but they last only a couple of minutes and the plank moves get interesting especially in the second 15 minute set
BUT
the stability ball is very small and the band has very light resistance.
The first 2 dvds are mostly about diet.

The weighted workouts are ok but repetitious and fairly routine IMHO.
Maybe they will become more interesting farther into the set but I doubt I will be revisiting the first 3 conditioning workouts I have already tried.

The dvds have a music only option which is nice since most of the moves are easy to follow.

My order is due to arrive tomorrow. I called customer service with a question (very nice service, BTW) and the rep said this is a discontinued product and when they're gone, they're gone. So if you want it, grab it! This sounds like a real steal. :D

Thanks everyone; I ordered. I appreciate the help. Geez, for $15 shipped, not sure why I even questioned it. The shipping alone is prob around $10 due to the weight.

Maybe this will be the first rotation I actually do! hehe

juliel 10-10-13 07:44 PM

Buy it!

jotis 10-10-13 07:51 PM

I ordered this morning for $17.00 - didn't know there was a code that knocked it down to $15!!!

That is still a good deal though, considering the original price. :)

dela 10-10-13 08:57 PM

SOLD! This price is insane! This was on my list of workouts to take a second look at when I was ready for a new set. I'm not ready for a new set, but there is no way I can pass this up.

Thank you for posting this!

Joni O 10-10-13 09:09 PM

Wow! They're really trying to dump them!

Yes, definitely still a great price, I almost paid full price for this, just glad I forgot about it for a while.

SueT 10-10-13 10:53 PM

Can anyone tell me if these dvd's are chaptered? I ordered this on Thursday a.m., one day too early for the $15 (I paid $20), but now, I'm worried, as I usually don't do splits, & the cardio workouts seem to be short.

sjazz78 10-11-13 07:07 PM

I've been away from VF for a while but came back just in time to see this deal. I placed my order on 10/7 and just received my order tonight 10/11 which was pretty fast to me.
And I have to say when I opened the box I was just thrilled with all that was included and the even the quality of everything including the literature. I mean you get actual books not just little brochures or leaflets.

I went back on line and ordered a set for my daughter and to those that have received the set already or have on the way,
please don't forget to look for the coupon included in the box for $5 off any purchase of $25 or more.

lorajc 10-11-13 08:49 PM

I really have to quit paying full price for everything.....that's a CRAZY price

firmaholic 10-11-13 10:03 PM

I couldn't resist the deal. If I don't like it, I can always give it as a gift. :)

Exactly! At this price, it's just a bonus if I like it, it's totally worth $15 to be able to check out a set I was interested in. Funny, I found my old post about a year ago, where I almost pulled the trigger and bought it when it was $119 with a $25 off coupon. I definitely have been burned before, but this makes up for the last one (Drop 2 Sizes), which I happen to love so it softens the blow, but payed over $80 and it dropped to under $30 no more than 2 weeks after it launched!

+1

I really like the cardio too and surprisingly had DOMS in my butt the day after Cardio Tactics I. Actually looking forward to the cardio again, which is a first as cardio is not my strong suit, and don't think i will get bored that quickly because the possibility for improvement during the varied intervals is feasible and motivating for me.

Price means nothing compared to value. ;) You've very possibly used and benefited from D2S the most on this forum, which is priceless.

Ships to Canada, doesn't ship to Quebec :(

I wanted to order this, I meant with this amazing deal... How not?!? Well... I went to their site, clicked Canada as country, and my province wasn't listed, email-ed them, and got this: "Thank you for contacting Vitamin World. We appreciate your interest in our products. Vitamin World does not ship to Quebec, Canada".... :( What's wrong with Quebec? They ship to Canada and not here:confused: that is not nice of them! Dissapointed!

I just ordered the set as a Christmas gift, at this price I can give these as gifts. Almost like when Oprah gave cars, I can give Met-Rx :D. This price is insane, I purchased it at full price minus the $25 coupon. I still never completed a full rotation but I have always thought the program was well thought out. I usually move quicker than the cast in the weighted workouts since they move to slow and I usually workout in the morning. Luckily for me, I participated in a focus group in May for Met-Rx and I was compensated $75 which softens the blow of this insane deal.

I have to admit, as I was looking at the old posts trying to find more info on the system, I saw mention of the pricing back then. I felt a little uncomfortable reading the posts. There were those who paid over $100 more than it is now and were getting a nice deal (at the time). The original price is around the same as it is/was for other sets like Tapout, RKS, P90x, etc. Imagine getting any of those sets for $15 shipped...ever??

At least it helps me feel better knowing a lot of the original buyers can now get them for this insane price to give as gifts. There's no doubt the recipients of them will have no clue how much was paid for them. The good news is it'll be our little secret here :)

You will be a heroine.

Took a rest day yesterday after a 13-day run doing barre classes and Slim Series so today was Day #3 when it should have been Day #4. Since I won't give up the barre to do this rotation I thought it would be prudent for me to use the bands, which are offered as an option throughout the entire rotation, instead of weights which could do me in from over use. As I considered the band option more closely for my needs the band tutorial for each of the two circuit workouts moved into my radar. They're definitely a must watch because the camera does not stay on the band modifier all the time and the pace was a little quicker in the Circuit 2 than 1. Even with the band tutorial it took me an hour to get through two rounds of the circuit because I kept pausing my 9" DVD player at the gym to figure out the right resistance color band to use, and definitely needed all of them. Took good notes in the tracker so I don't have to go through this again and now have a good base level to work up from. Also noted in the tracker whether the band should be doubled or single so I don't fumble around as much in the future. All in all it was so worth the effort because the bands put a creative spin on the workout, particularly with the stability ball that was used so much in Circuit 2. The one-legged dead lift on the ball with the band stands out.:music::sun: Mucho fun. Also, the more than 100 ab reps felt really effective because they were spread out among the three rounds. Loving this program.
