BBX Hardcore

I tried searching and couldn't find anything about this - anyone hear of this or try it?

I still have it and do workouts from it from time to time. I really like to take these when I travel as it's all body weight exercises.

Here's a link to a previous discussion http://forum.videofitness.com/showth...highlight=dede

Thank you! I don't know why that one didn't come up in my search when the name is right there in the title. :o

That's because the search feature doesn't do well with 3 letter searches like BBX. I searched for Dede to find that thread.

I like the three Hardcore workouts. She could have easily made premixes out of them instead of making the Burn and Body workouts. I haven't done the B & B wos but previewed them. I think the set could have been cheaper if she just made the three HC wos and included premixes.

So . . are they really "hardcore"? ;) Sorry, I ask so many intensity questions.

Yeah, after reading that longer thread, that's what made me change my mind (and the fake reviews were a big turn off too). :(

I thought I would like these, but I couldn't take her in your face way. I couldn't even finish previewing all of the workouts, because it just drove me crazy. Then again, I have read many people like that approach, and find it very motivating. Just not for me. :)

I never revisited the set after my first go because the instructor was such a hollering ham :p
Intensity wise, not as hard as Tapout XT. Maybe on par with Rushfit. I liked Rushfit better by far (great instructor, more balanced program).

I bought BBX used (~$60 IIRC) and thought it should have been more like a $45 or $50 set. Like the KB Scorcher set or so considering the actual content.

I only tried each HC once and it was awhile back. However, from what I remembered, I'll agree with EnglishIvy on the intensity. I mostly liked it because it was a mix of kickboxing and bodyweight training.

I don't mind her in your face personality. She is like the clip. I'm used to Jillian though. I think both of them are playing a role and I see a little humor in their personalities.

What I didn't like is the warm-up. I like the series of moves but you repeat them a bunch of times. So I think I only did half of the warm-up. The workout itself repeats a little but not that much. I think you repeat a circuit 3x before moving to the next circuit.
