2020 Thrift Store Finds
 

So far 2020 hasn't been good to me. I've gone to 3 different Goodwill stores and have come out empty handed. There's plenty of Jillian and yoga as usual, but not much of anything else.

I found a 5 disc DVD player with extra speakers for $15.
To have several of my DVDs ready to roll is fabulous!!

Game changer !

Lately I haven't found any DVDs either :-(

Lynne Robinson's Body Control Weekly Workout- apparently a compilation of older workouts from the late 1990s and early 2000s

Yoga Zone: Yoga for Weight Loss

what luck! i posted a thread last year that many of Ellen's DVDs from that era were totally jacked up. she hasn't re-issued these, which is the reason for the high prices.

I haven’t seen one of those players anywhere for a really long time. Hopefully you will find some DVDs to go along with that soon.

This year I have made one visit and found Shiva Rea Creative Core Abs, Hoopnotica level 1 and Leslie Sansone Walk it off and Tone it Up.

My goodwill has purged most of the dvds + cds on the shelves. They probably would have had better luck selling them if the prices were more reasonable (99 cents cds + 1.99 dvds) instead they wanted $2.99+ for dvds.

I did find Bret Hoebel's Spri dvd at dollar tree for $1. I picked it up. Hopefully he doesn't do his awkward breathing. I previewed a little bit and it seems he doesn't do every move which would cut down on all the huffing and puffing.

Ouch $2.99 on a DVD in Goodwill?
Around here those prices would not be convincing folks to purchase.

Most DVDs here cost $2.99 at thrift stores.

My local Goodwill charges $2.99 for DVDs also, which is why I'll only purchase one there if I know there is a very good chance I'll like it.

I do think that is a bit steep for a used DVD, especially since so many people are streaming nowadays.
