Beachbody Functional Fight?

Apparently BB previewed this new workout concept at a recent retreat. It was created by Joel Freeman and Jericho McMathewes from Les Mill. I think it is a BOD exclusive. Seems like they're trying To compete against LM.

Jericho is in that kickbox workout with Tracey S and Josef. I thought she had great form. I'm interested.:D

In the video description is says this was a preview of "their new Beachbody on Demand workout concept" so it seems they plan to do this on Demand only and not on DVD? It looks a lot like LM Combat to me, which I already have, and I'm not seeing anything new here--at least not in the clips that were shown.

Interesting. Looks like a Combat/GRIT combination.

I'm down for nearly any kickboxing/fighting type concept, especially when they have the potential of good beachbody music.

I agree, there is nothing unique about this workout at all, but I always wanted a Jericho led workout, I like her.

BUT with that said, if it's streaming only, I likely won't be doing these.

The program looks good. I'm currently doing a rotation with Pump and like Jericho a lot :)

I hate that BB seems to be switching more and more to On Demand and less to DVD. I know that it's the way things are trending, but I'm not there yet. When there are dvds that I'm not interested in on the market, I can go months without making any fitness purchases. If I have to switch to On Demand for my workouts, I'll have to pay money every single month. I just don't want to do that yet so I guess I'll have to stick to older programs for now.

I think the argument for streaming is that a company can upload one video at a time, show previews, etc. I would be willing to bet that Paul Katami was hired for streaming workouts. It's also an excellent way to test a product. They can film one workout, see market response, and then tailor the workouts on the fly. It's actually an interesting concept and Beachbody is doing a pretty great job at working this angle. I actually have BBOD and I like it. I get full access to all of the older stuff, and my exercise ADD is having a blast. They do a Challenge Du Jour, following the below format and one day it'll be Tony, the next ShaunT, the next Autumn... Today is P90X2 Recovery and Joint Mobility.

M Plyo/Cardio
T Lower Body or Total Body Resistance
W Cardio/Core
Th Rest/Recovery
F Upper Body or Total Body Resistance
S Cardio
Su Total Body Resistance/Core

Cathe is another one who comes to mind who has it down well with her Cathe Live workouts.

Oh and so sorry - I didn't mean to turn this into a Beachbody commercial. I used to be a coach, and stopped because it's a racket. I'm not a huge fan of BB. I just happen to think they are doing the streaming thing right. And it's not expensive, which is nice.
