Tell me about the John Abdo walking workouts

There's not much info about them. I know there are 2: "Inside Track" (also titled "Metabolic Stimulator") and "Fat Blaster." What's the pace like? Are these good, sweaty workouts? Any intervals in them? What are ninja punches? I keep seeing that phrase and I'm curious. I can't find clips of either workout. Thanks.

I tried on of his workouts once. He just about drove me crazy with everything he said. He talks A LOT and, unlike Leslie, his constant chatter drove me nuts. It has been a long time since I did it and I didn't retain much of what I saw.

All of the thread about him are fairly old. There are some threads at this link - http://forum.videofitness.com/search...archid=1876323

I liked them and found him entertaining in a corny way.

At least tell me what ninja punches are. :p

Don't remember ninja punches.
Just did it once and never felt the need to visit with him again. Didn't find him overly annoying but I did get a used car salesman stereotype vibe (don't flame me if you or a loved one is a used car salesman, I am talking about the cariacture) and it just didn't feel right. Or should I say infomercial shill vibe (again, the cariacture).
If I could find mine, I would send it to you but I must have donated it somewhere along the way.

Yeah, I don't remember ninja punches either. Sorry! (They must not have been memorable? ;))

I've owned both of them at one time. They are really, really corny - especially the second, more advanced one. His "walking" includes swimming motions, climbing ropes (nothing more than arm raises) and other run-of-the-mill moves that he's made up his own names for. If I remember correctly, his ninja punches were just plain ol' jabs. JMO - don't waste your money!

Thanks, everyone. I was about to order these yesterday and now I'm glad I decided to wait. You've talked me out of it. :)

Other people's trash are my treasures :)

who found John Abdo more creative than Leslie

Barb, I am with you. Most people's negatives are my positive.
But I wasn't feeling the love with John. That was also in the infancy of my doing DVDs at home so who knows how I would feel today. Since I do Leslie but don't listen to Leslie, it could be totally different now with John.
