Diana, thanks for starting our month!

My virtual concert is online today, starting at noon, and then playing again, and again. On our webpage, sanjosesymphonicchoir.org
Our director, Leroy Kromm, is singing the baritone solo.

Yesterday I got more than 17k steps on my phone, or almost 8 miles. DH and I took a 2.5 mile walk in the morning. Then I went shopping for groceries at a couple of stores. Then I took DD for socially-distanced trick-or-treating. People put their candy out at the end of their driveways on tables. Most of it was in goodie bags for easy grabbing. Some people sat outside to greet the kids from a distance. Many houses did not participate and had lights off. A few had lights on but no candy out front, so we didn't go to those. We are having DD wait until today to eat the candy just for extra safety.

We also sat with neighbors socially distanced in the middle of the cul de sac, with a firepit in the middle. Everyone brings their own beverages. This way we can chat but still be at least six feet away outdoors.

DH and I are starting a clean eating, dry November. Except for Thanksgiving Day, we will stick to it. We will have a cheat meal each week. I broached the idea because DH likes time goals and 30 days is doable for him. Then hopefully he will continue when he sees his progress. Doing it together will make it easier for both of us.

Lynn, I am so sorry for the stress and sadness you must be going through with your parents! Sending prayers up for you and them.

Diana, I agree that I wouldn't go to a gym right now--they are really germy no matter what kind of cleaning the staff is trying to enforce, and you can't really wear a mask and work out, so everyone will just be breathing freely everywhere. I also feel dressing up and driving to a gym is a waste of time for me, and working out without a video is more boring. I like to get my workout done, get my shower, and get on with things.

My sister's son, who is 20, got COVID a couple of weeks ago. He's in college. He was quarantined, which he hated of course, and he ended up with really bad symptoms, which he didn't think would happen to him (because he's a fit 20-year old male who thinks he's invincible, of course). Only about 8 or 10 students out of 4,000 got it at his school. His family knew he would get it at some point because of his casual attitude. Fortunately he's far away in another state from them.

Cynthia, I do walking workouts, yes, but I just haven't felt like it. I like a lot of the Jessica walks. I'm sure I'll be hitting some of those as the weather gets colder!

Linda, happy anniversary! What a sweet guy. And let me know what you think of Heather. She doesn't talk during the workouts. I actually really like her style--music, setting, and of course workout design. I already know form so I don't need to hear a bunch of chatter.

Cheryl, sounds like you all had a nice Halloween. Sorry to hear about your nephew. Youngsters think they're invincible and surprise! They're human just like the old geezers.

Cynthia, Little Black Dress sounds familiar. Who is the instructor? I know it's in my cabinet but I haven't opened the cabinet since before Jerry died in 2016. I'm lazy and only use DVDs that are on the bookshelf.

I did absolutely nothing today except worry and poutq. I got the package yesterday from the surgeon regarding surgery. The usual stuff of getting a physical at my PCP, get pre-op testing, and go to joint class. The new thing of me and my driver getting tested for covid is messing me up. Testing will be before or after Thanksgiving. If she takes time off work those days she won't get paid for the holiday. I'm not going to ask her to do it. My SO will be here on the testing days but he needs at least 2 days off work to take me to surgery because of his hours. We know that won't happen but he'll ask anyway. I can make this easy and cancel the whole thing. The only thing I can't do with my shoulder is pushups or chest press. It doesn't interfere with daily living and I can ice away the pain when it happens. It's a mess.

HI Everyone!

Linda I'm sorry there so much to figure out.

Good Morning, Everyone!

Last night: Basic stretches
This morning: Oxycise

Have a Blessed day and stay safe and healthy. Have a great start to your week!

Today I started with Jessica's 1-Mile Flat Abs Walk because it was 36 degrees outside. Later DH and I took a walk, and I did Heather Robertson's Upper Body Strength and Arm Toning Workout.

Linda, sorry about the covid testing messing up your plans. I hope you get it worked out ok!

Cheryl
