Best shoes for Tracy Anderson Cardio?

Hey Tracy fans!

What shoes do you wear when doing Tracy's cardio? I know on FB, so many recommend the Nike AirMax 2009 or 2010 but those shoes cost around $160.00.

Suggestions, opinions please!

I believe the Air Max running shoes go for $160, but I think the trainers go for a lot less. I was able to get a pair of Air Max trainers on sale for $48. I went to the Niketown in downtown Chicago today and this particular style was on sale: http://store.nike.com/us/en_us/?site...75/pgid-310408

The other versions of that same shoe were at regular price ($80-85).

If you can't find a good store near you or there aren't any sales, some people on the Tracy Anderson facebook page have recommended: http://weargood.com/women-air-max-20...x-2010-19.html

I've also heard some good things about Asics cross trainers, but I don't know how suitable they would be for TA cardio.

I'll admit that I haven't used them for any dance cardio yet, but I did use them for a HIIT workout from Turbo Fire today since I was short on time. So far I'm liking them and they do a good job with minimizing impact and protecting all areas of the foot. My plantar fasciitis is still bothering me from a previous flare up, but the pain was greatly decreased by the shoe. I also have a problem with tight calves when I'm doing high impact cardio (no matter how much I stretch them out beforehand) and I didn't feel a peep from them today. I'm doing the cardio tomorrow, so I will see if the shoes are good with constant movement.

I did have a problem with having to go up in size. I'm almost always an 8 or an 8 1/2 and had to get them in a 9.

Mind you, Nike also has 2 or 3 different models of trainers for the Air Max line. The woman who was trying on shoes next to me preferred this model: http://store.nike.com/us/en_us?sites...53/pgid-301808

In one of her tweets, Tracy mentioned that she wears Mizuno Inspire or Nike Shox. Though, ever the woman of many contradictions, In her new DVDs she appears to be wearing Nike Aimax 2009's... I'm kinda curious if she's sponsered by Nike, as she always seems to be clad in them.

Personally, I find that the Airmax 09's are the kindest on my knees. I found that Asics Kayanos (which I adore for running) left my shins and knees feeling like Vlad the Impaler was having his way with them, which really wasn't fun.

Bumping this thread for new ideas --

I have a carpeted room, and sometimes the tready-ness of running/training shoes give me too much catch on the floor, make it hard to do turns.

I tried the Bloch shoes, and didn't like them.

Any other ideas?

only shoes I'm using for TA cardio are ones that I wear on my Rebounder!! it's way too high impact for the floor! for my injured back, that is

I just look at all the jumping and just have no real desire to do the cardio. I'm amazed so many people are ok with all that jumping. But I'm actually seeing results with just the MS work and adding in some stretching or basic cardio on my own.

I've fallen in love with Nike Dance Trainers --

I tried Nike Musique, the Blochs, and some Capezios (thank goodness for Zappos!) and these were the nicest on my feet. Very comfortable, and have the nice spin spot on the sole that helps with pivots and turns.

I'm doing walking - 3 miles a couple of days a week, one or two days of dance cardio on the floor for 45 minutes, and a couple of days of doing similar stuff on the rebounder. I wear Bloch Boost shoes for the dance cardio, and haven't had any more knee issues like I did when I wore my trainers for dance cardio. I do have low grade soreness in my legs, however, but that's just those muscles working!
