Do I need a Bender ball?

I'm interested in trying some of the Bender workouts, particularly the Bender ball + gliding workout because I love Mindy, but I don't have a Bender ball. Would the ball from the Fluidity kit work?

I think what you should get is this:

I don't have the Fluidity ball, but the mini FitBall really appears to be the exact same ball as the Bender Ball, just a different color. I use the mini FitBall a lot -- it was worth the investment!

HTH!

The Fluidity ball is too big; you need something smaller and one that can be somewhat deflated. The one JustSandra linked looks good. I picked up a cheap Danskin Pilates/Mini ball from Walmart a few years ago. I also like the mini ball that came in a 10 Minute Solutions kit (don't recall the name).

I agree I don't the Fluidity ball will work, its too firm. I have a pink ball from a 10 minute solutions pilates kit that would work I think. That kit has similar exercises I think.

Thank you! I'll look into getting a Fitball or similar small soft ball!

My Bender ball is exactly the same size as my Fluidity and my P57 balls. They are simply inflated to a firmer degree than my Bender ball.

For the "Bender Ball" Pilates classes at my gym, we're using Spri's sponge balls. They seem to work just as well, too. But I wouldn't buy one of these if you already have one of the other options mentioned.

I agree that the pink ball that came with the 10 Minute Solutions Quick Sculpt Pilates DVD would be a good option for you. (The Quick Sculpt Pilates DVD is a fun workout, anyway, so it's a nice little kit.)

Here's a link to it at Amazon, but I bought mine at Sam's Club for $12.88 around Christmastime, and they seem to restock them every now and then, so if you're a member, it might be worth a look. Walmart might have the kit, too.
