Udaya German Classes

Hi

Just out of interest has anybody noticed on the udaya site that there has been a huge output of German classes. Whilst I applaud international language content, udaya seems to have gone on a complete german class hiatus. I contacted them asking if they would provide a search function for English speaking classes and they informed me that it was something they were looking into. Also a lot of the new german classes are given English titles and descriptions, but then when played are often in german.

I know I am very ignorant in not being able to converse in german ( I really wish I could speak more languages) but udaya seems to be only providing german language classes recently. Its a shame because I'm sure the classes themselves are very good, I've tried following along with a few, but its quite difficult.

Anyone else noticed this?

I posted about this back in February:

Hi Isabelle

Yes sorry about the duplicate post. I quit my subscription but returned to do some of the old classes. Unfortunately all of the new stuff is still mostly german language.

Yes I noticed and am getting a little aggravated. I LOVE Udaya Yoga! I've subscribed for quite a while but I haven't used it much the last few months because most of the new practices are German. I don't know enough German to figure it out.

Pippadog - I also subscribe to PowerYoga and have been using that a bit more. I still go back to Udaya to check out new releases, but I've been using PY more and Gaia as well.

I think I'll send a comment to them also. Can't hurt!

No need to apologize! :) I am annoyed that it is still happening! I was hoping it was temporary.

I do have to give a shout out to recent Vytas class that I loved called Linearity. It was a very a cool class and reminded me that Udaya used to offer great classes in my native language.

Hi

Yes I have recently signed up to yogaglo for a month for some new classes. I love the old classes on udaya like Rudy's 'Fat Seeking Missile' and Jeff Beaudoin classes. But a lot of the new content is just not up to the usual quality. It feels like I'm paying my subscription just to use the old stuff and in anticipation of one of Rudy's new classes being aired.

I have sent customer services my comments before about the german classes, but they either didn't respond, or replied that they had a lot of german classes to upload.

Have you tried Twist in the Mist yet? It's Rudy's latest. I still haven't tried it yet, but will try to get to it soon. I tend to get to the shorter practices quicker, as they are easier to fit in.

There are so much wonderful free You Tube yoga content, that I wonder why I still pay for a subscription.

Hi

Yes I have done 'Twist in the Mist'. I tend to do Rudy classes as soon as they air lol. Its a good class.

isabelle: Linearity is on my list to do. Twist in the Mist is good!

laura: I do the same thing..I hit Rudy's classes almost right away! Another good reason why I also subscribe to Power Yoga although most of that reason is for Bryan.

I'll let you know if anyone replies to my questions too.
