Off Topic: Has anyone taken an airline flight lately?

I was just wondering what it is was like. I usually fly cross country every Memorial Day to see my family and i am sad to miss it this year.
thanks,
Liz

Not yet, but we're supposedly flying on June 22 to visit the in-laws in upstate New York, if our flight isn't cancelled. I'm curious too.

Not yet but I'll be flying Memorial Day week. American is requiring all passengers to wear masks now. I'm just going to try to touch as little as possible both on the plane and in the airport.

You could not pay me to fly right now. You are breathing everyone elses air on a plane. Please be very careful, VFers!

We're counting on lots of people to stay off the planes to make it safer for the rest of us. So thank you. :)

We'll be flying American at the end of June. In Chicago, we are required to wear masks anyway, so we'll be well used to it by then. Of course, it is still possible that our flight will be cancelled.

Unfortunately I'm in agreement. Most people I know are tentatively planning road trips later this year, even long cross-country ones. So many unknowns. Please stay safe if you'll be flying!

My husband and I used to always drive to the in-laws in upstate New York from Chicago. We would spend the night in Buffalo and have breakfast at the Cracker Barrel and then drive the final two hours. I do miss those days and I have always hated the airlines. But when we got the cats, we didn't want to be away that long, not to mention the cat sitter expense. Plus we're getting kind of old. :) But who knows, maybe if our flight is cancelled, we'll talk about driving.
