What is Essentrics?

Is Essentrics/CS mostly a flowing stretch type of workout or does it help with muscles endurance as well?

It’s mostly flowing stretches. There is some muscle endurance and strengthening of the quadriceps if you bend deep enough. Essentrics does a good job of incorporating movements that many other workouts leave out like spinal rotation, finger and ankle movement/mobility. I think it’s an excellent compliment to strength training videos.

The Essentrics website has video clips which explains the moves.

Your local PBS station may have Classical Stretch with Miranda the creator.

Pre-pandemic, my boot camp took off the month of August. Then I substituted 60 minutes Essentrics at nights 5 days a week. I also normally do a 22 minute Classical Stretch episode in the morning before I go to work and walk at lunch.

September i would start back to boot camp not missing a step.:sun:

Everyone is different and it's a good option to try.:sun:

Thank you! They’re two of my favorites. I love reading antique quotation and poetry books. I used to have a blog matching beautiful photographs with quotations and poetry. It was a wonderful form of introspection or meditation.
